Volunteer plants native grasses on the hills above Waimea Valley.

CARBON OFFSET PROGRAM

Every tree planted in the native forests above Waimea Valley strengthens these precious conservation lands and enhances the watershed.

Every $30 you donate pays for one native tree. We grow them in our greenhouse, and then our conservation team takes them into the hills of Waimea Valley, where they are busy restoring the native forests.

Multiple trees may be eligible for discounted pricing please inquire at info@waimeavalley.net.

Each year the Waimea Valley Conservation Program plans to reforest one to five acres of mauka land with 400 native trees and 1280 native shrubs per acre.

The efforts of reforestation include collecting seeds from the forest, propagating seedlings in our nursery, clearing the site and removing invasive species, installing a fence to prevent ungulates from uprooting the plants, planting trees, and visiting the planting sites to weed around the trees for the first three years of growth.
