‘IKE WAIMEA EXHIBITION
ʻIke Waimea Exhibition
Come celebrate the culture and history of Waimea Valley throughout a month-long exhibit from May 3rd through May 31st, 2025. The 'Ike Waimea Exhibit contains twenty-five never before displayed artifacts found in the Valley. These treasured items reveal the deep value and memories of the individuals and community that previously lived in one of the only remaining intact Ahupuaʻa (land division) on O'ahu. Among the twenty-five artifacts include stone pounders, coral ponders, several 'ulu maika, octopus lures, hand bowls, poi pounders, kapa beaters and adzes of all sizes. The artifacts also represent the agricultural practices and day-to-day living tools that were used at the time. Come and share this enriching experience with us as we connect the present to our past at Waimea Valley's 'Ike Waimea Exhibit.
